Edith Piaf - Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien

For those of you non-Frenchies out there, it stands for “No, I regret nothing”. This song is sung French cultural icon, Edith Piaf, and is featured in Christopher Nolan’s film “Inception”. The characters of the film were signaled to commence “a kick” upon hearing a song, specifically, this song. The song itself is really quite elegant, I’m glad Nolan chose to incorporate this in the film, whether it be for the title, content, or style.

Sadly, Edith Piaf passed away at the age of 47 due to liver cancer. The legacy of her life was shown in the film “La Vie en rose”, and coincidentally, actress Marion Cotillard (who played Mal in Inception), portrayed Edith Piaf. You can find info on the film on IMDB.
