The Enigma that is Sean Bean.
Hold on. Why does Sean Bean seem to die in every movie he is in?
There’s no doubt that this guy is a total badass but I’ve always found it strange how he seems to end up dead in a lot of his movies. Does he sign a death clause when he joins the cast a new project? Does he not like doing sequels? Don’t get me wrong though. Sean Bean may die a lot but he pullls off a great performance for all of them (the one’s I’ve watched anyways).
He’s perhaps most widely recognized as Boromir from Lord of the Rings, but he also had roles in other movies or television shows like GoldenEye or Game of Thrones in which his character dies. And from the above compilation, the guy even dies by cattle in one movie. What! Just by seeing his name in a cast list I’m sure 80% of viewers or fans will know that he’ll probably end up dead somewhere along the movie. Sean Bean is a living spoiler.
I did however, recently watch a movie called Silent Hill in which he lived to see the movie’s end but his character didn’t get to see any action at all. The sequel for that movie comes out this year though, so maybe he’ll play a bigger role this time around and won’t be as lucky. A fun suggestion would be to watch all the past Sean Bean movies and determine which ones he stays alive, or watch any of his upcoming projects and play a suspenseful game of “Will he or won’t he?”
