Day 29 - A Song from Your Childhood
blink-182 - All the Small Things
One of the first punk rock songs I ever listened to when I was younger. Can’t say I still enjoy their music too much now, but I’ve always liked this one song.

Day 28 - A Song that Makes You Feel Guilty
Taking Back Sunday - Makedamnsure
What the heck does this song challenge even mean by “guilty”? At any rate, I’ll just say that this song makes me feel guilty cause this is what first got me listening to this style of music back in the day, whatever this is. I get so confused by these genres such pop punk, post-hardcore, or emo. Sometimes it is just impossible to categorize them correctly.
And by now, I’m sure you have figured out that my music taste is quite eclectic anyways.

Holy crap that took a lifetime to finish.
Not going to lie, we couldn’t watch all of the three movies one after the other. It was just too tiring. We made it past two of the movies, slept for a bit, and continued on to finished the third and final movie. The last time I watched the movies were when they first came out in theatres, I could only remember little of the plot. I’ve realized that some scenes were actually quite cheesy, but the battle scenes and whatnot were pretty epic to watch.
I really have no idea whose genius idea it was (come to think of it, it might have been mine) to watch the special extended editions of the movies, but that’s what we ended up watching. To give an idea of how long we watched for, here are the runtimes for each individual movie.
LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring - 3+ hours
LOTR: The Two Towers - 3.5+ hours
LOTR: The Return of the King - 4+ hours
Yeah, it was a really lengthy night. But I thought it was worth it. Maybe watching only the regular editions would have been fine though. It’s like 30 min to 1 hour less of footage.
For whatever my friends and I planned to watch a marathon of the Lord of the Rings trilogy today. We’ve already finished the first, and just started the second one a while ago. We just realized that this second one runs for over 3.5 hours, and my God that’s a long time. I think it’s cause they’re all special extended editions.
I have no idea if we’re going to make it past the night.

Day 26 - A Song You would Dedicate to Your Significant Other
Iron & Wine - Such Great Heights
I absolutely love this cover. Don’t get my wrong, the original by The Postal Service is great, but this acoustic version by Iron & Wine is brilliant.

Another year has come and gone! Or is about to at least.
It’s really quite amazing how fast time can fly. Whether you’re enjoying yourself or suffering through pile loads of school work, the days just fly right by. To be honest, I don’t remember a lot of things from this year at the moment, but some of the highlights of 2010 for me would have to be:
- Vancouver hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics, and the gold medal win in men’s hockey
- finding my first official job this past summer
- subsequently quitting the job
- graduating high school
- moving onto something greater with my life (but it sucks cause it’s MORE school)
- enjoying the company of friends and loved ones
- a good year of discovering new music artists and movies like Inception, Toy Story 3
So now, I guess the question I’m asking myself is: “Am I looking forward to 2011?” I really don’t know. I guess nobody ever really knows what to expect, but you can always hope for the best and wish for another fun year ahead. Hope everyone has had a great year as well and take care as 2011 rolls around the corner.

Day 25 - A Song that Makes You Laugh
Man Man - Engrish Bwudd
Something about this song is just so damn funny and awesome. I love the little high-pitched voices that sing in the background haha.
